Our hostel is located in the city center (and we really mean it), very close to the main touristic attractions:

• 2 minutes walk to Cismigiu Park
• 5 minutes walk to the Romanian Atheneum, Revolution Square or Royal Palace
• 15 minutes walk to the Historical Centre
• 20 minutes walk to the Railway Station (Gara de Nord)

The area is very safe and quiet and you are just one step to an oasis of peace and vegetation: Cismigiu Park.

It is also very well linked to the transportation system: bus stop a few metres away and metro near by.

If you travel by train (from Gara de Nord):

• By Taxi or Ridesharing (Uber / Bolt): It costs approximately 15–25 Lei (~3–5 EUR). Avoid taking unregulated taxis waiting directly in front of the station; instead, use official taxi order machines inside the arrivals area or request a ride via Uber/Bolt.

• By Bus: Take line 178 (or line 226 / 126).

  • Cross the street from the railway station to the bus stop on Dinicu Golescu Avenue.

  • Take bus 178 (direction Sala Palatului) or bus 126/226 and get off at the second stop (Parcul Cișmigiu).

  • From the stop, cross the street and walk back about 200 meters. Look for the yellow house on your left — that’s our hostel!

• On Foot: It’s an easy 15–20 minute walk if your backpack isn’t too heavy.

  • Exit the station towards Dinicu Golescu Avenue and go straight until you reach the major intersection with Știrbei Vodă Street.

  • Turn left onto Știrbei Vodă Street and walk about 350 meters on the left side (just past the intersection with Popa Tatu Street).

Public Transport Tickets (STB):

• A single urban trip costs 3 Lei (valid for 90 minutes across all surface transport).

• You do not need to buy paper tickets. You can tap your contactless bank card (Visa/Mastercard) directly on the blue validators inside any bus, tram, or trolleybus. You can also pay via the 24pay mobile app.

If you travel by plane (from Henri Coandă / Otopeni Airport):

• By Train (Fastest option to Gara de Nord): Take the direct airport train to Gara de Nord (runs 24/7, every 30 minutes, trip takes ~20 minutes). A ticket costs 5.5 Lei (~1.1 EUR) and can be bought directly on the train or at the airport station. From Gara de Nord, follow the directions above.

• By Express Bus: Take express bus 100 (runs 24/7 to the city center/Piața Unirii) or bus 780 directly to Gara de Nord station.

• By Taxi / Ridesharing: Distance is ~17 km.

  • A ride via Uber/Bolt or an official airport taxi (ordered via touchscreens inside the arrivals terminal) costs around 60–90 Lei (12–18 EUR), depending on traffic and surge pricing.
